I’m also a huge anime otaku too! Lately I have been obsessed with nodame cantabile lately and saw it more than 7times. What’s your favorite and favorite type of anime? Like a typical fangirl, I love shoujos!!!!

My favourite animes are Uta No Prince Sama, Fruits Baskets, Mai-Hime/Mai-Otome…(0.Sifr is my absolute favourite of the Mai-Multiverse) NANA, SkipBeat, Ouran High School Host Club, and All parts (and games) of the Hakuouki Series. UtaPri is my absolute favourite as I am a musical otaku as well and I love anything that has to do with making music singing etc. Thats probably why I like NANA a lot as well. I also am obsessed with the Claymore anime and manga.

Just want to say I love your blog. Found it by pure accident when looking for update info for ‘Knight of my Heart’ – voltage game… That is exactly the same as ‘A Knights Devotion’. So I read your reviews on the game, saw the art was 100% better than my version and bought it out of interest – I recommend that if you can do the same then do so just for comparison.
The art isn’t great, the sprites make several demented faces but they are oddly endearing after a while. I’ve JUST started playing Shion who like you say is particularly lazy – his French equivalent Jacques isn’t nearly as handsome sprite wise but I think Voltage have made him easier to love than Shion, he finds it difficult to show emotion but you feel he does love you in the end.
I started ‘Devotion’ with Kenny on the basis that his equivalent in ‘Heart’ annoyed the hell out of me. Note that Kenny is MUCH better than Pierre and you connect with him on a far far greater level than I did with Pierre.
If you like Lute you’ll love Alexandre (his sprite is at least half decent) and the same for Haku/Henri – that boy is pure love on all levels.
I’m looking forward to Gaia and saving him for last as Nicolas stole my heart in my version. But I still recommend you try it and see what you think. I’d love to know your views on the game!

Thank you so much for the encouraging and kind words! To be honest I knew about the North American Release “Knight of my Heart” but until you told me about it I haven’t really wanted to play it. I do think the art style is really crappy and that is a big part of what makes or breaks a game for me. I thought though tat there was no point in buying it because the stories were exactly the same. Now that I know that they are different as you say and that their personalities are different it really makes me interested in play it. I guess I’ll just imagine Shion’s Sprite in place of Jaques when I am playing (my imagination is quite a powerful tool haha) Once the Chaos of AnimeNorth Con is over I will definitely find time to play these. Oh and Gaia’s Route is EPIC. It’s hilarious and I love it so much!!!!

I have to say I was skeptical at first; it was clear from the prologue that they were the same story but despite this I’m finding I love ‘Devotion’ just as much but in different ways. I think you’ll like Jacques far more than Shion despite the awful sprite – I found him difficult at first but he has this smirk that will win you over immediately.
Currently trying to drag myself trough with Shion but his laziness is making him difficult. REALLY looking forward to Gaia now you’ve said that!! Utterly adored his French counterpart Nicolas.
So jealous you’re at Con. Haven’t been to one in ages!
