Teach me to Cook, My Sexy Chef! Chihaya’s Recipes Spinoff – Seduced in The Sleepless City – Review
Chihaya was the first character I played in ‘Seduced in the Sleepless City’. In fact he was the second voltage character I’ve played. I played Edward from ‘Pirates in Love’ before this and I was so disappointed in that game in general that I was very skeptical about trying out another Voltage game. Chihaya was charming and amazing and I ended up loving his story. But for some reason I haven’t played his character stories for a while since then. When this came out I became excited because I love Chihaya, and I love to cook! I went to chef school that’s how much I love to cook. I do love to eating more than cooking though. I was like “WHAT? I’m going to learn how to cook Japanese food in a romance sim game? REALLY? I wonder how they are going to pull this off…” And that’s how it happened!
I bought this Special for only $1.99 through the in-app purchase in the game. It comes with an intro chapter and 6 separate recipe choices, one for each character’s favourite dish! Each choice is 1 chapter long and comes with a recipe card image at the end. There are no emails from this story but we get an extra bonus picture as well, along with the recipe cards.
Yuzuki’s Favourite – Roast Beef, This has to be my favourite of all the stories in this one. I am a SUPER BIG FAN of butlers…so when you read it you will understand why this one is #1!! If my boyfriend acted like that to me I would DIE of supreme happiness. This is an extremely sexy story!
Ryoichi’s favourite, Carbonara – This is a Japanese style Carbonara with sea urchin… I’m a fan of sea urchin, but it is an acquired taste…so not everyone likes it. But, thinking of it makes my mouth water! Let’s get back to the story review. I love how Chihaya is just so romantic, sexy and bold, I can’t get enough of it! I can eat at least 3 helpings of it! He teases and gets a bit forceful in this story, which is extremely exciting. And there is a hilarious and sexy surprise in the middle of this one! I love it!
Noel’s Favourite, Omelet over Rice – This recipe I think is the most realistic and one that you could really actually make from just reading the story and following the recipe at the end. It’s easy to make, and they go through the steps pretty accurately in this story. This story is very cute sweet and romantic.
Chihaya’s Favourite, Makerel – Miso Stewed Mackerel – This sounds absolutely delish! I am going to try this one for sure. This story is kind of disappointing in the beginning because something unexpected comes up. But, it has a very nice ending with Chihaya being very much like Chihaya! wink*wink*
Mirai’s Favourite, Meat & Potatoes – I am a big fan of stews, and a big fan of beef so I think this is a great recipe, and looking at it at the end looks like it would work out to be really tasty so I might actually try this one. I like this story because everyone ends up being in it and its cute. It isn’t as exciting as the others, but meat and potatoes are a not very exciting either. It’s a comfort food, so like that, the story is a very reassuring cute comfortable story.
Satsuki’s Favourite, Sake Fruit Punch – I’m surprised Satsuki’s favourite food is an alcoholic beverage. He doesn’t seem like a liquid lunch kind of guy. However, looking at this recipe, anyone would love to have this drink all the time. I am also a bartender as well as a cook, and a maniac who loves fruit so I know for sure that this recipe will taste completely like heaven! And I like how Chihaya at one point is pointing out how healthy this drink is because of its digestive enzymes in the fruit. Haha, like any of us need any more excuses to drink heavily. This health lesson ends up in a very sexy beauty lesson! And that’s when this story gets really steamy! I definitely have to make this and drink it with my boyfriend. Hopefully it will end up with the same result! This one is a great story as well =)
In the end, if I only looked at the dishes and recipes, My favourites would be the Sake Fruit punch because I’m an alcoholic and the Miso Stewed Mackerel. Those seem the tastiest to me. What’s your favourite food? Food homemade and not bought, nor instant or from a package or can. I would love to hear comments below on what kind of food you’d want Chihaya to make for you! If it were me, I’d ask Chihaya to make me…Okonomiyaki! Or Sukiyaki! So YUMMY! I’m drooling just thinking about it!
This was a very unique and fun spinoff. It’s my favourite of all the spinoffs in this particular game. So I am quite happy that I purchased this. I mean, it’s a bargain – I got some hot stories, pictures, and recipes for some awesome foods! But even if it were the stories on their own, I’d love it so much I’d probably go back and re-read them over and over again!
